Hello people, I guess the weekend is getting saltier … by now you all must have gotten your BVN number and I know a lot of people that will be struggling to save it in their diary or phone number should in case the need be.
I’m just going to show you the easiest way to check your BVNnumber anytime, anyday, anywhere without struggle, without internet … right on your Nokia touch light.
To know your BVN number, dial *565*0# on the GSM line you used in registering at the bank for BVN verification and wait for some sec for your BVN number to appear.

It currently work for Airtel, MTN and Etisalat for now.

The newly timely based data plan allow you to do everything online, it comes with 1024MB (1GB) for just N100. It’s specifically meant for weekend meaning if you subscribe today Sunday, it expires next week Sunday 11:59PM (usable only during weekends)
I’d tried and it works just fine on all devices without any restriction.
How Can I Subscribe?
=>Load N100 on your airtel sim and dial *474*1#.... Your data will be activated
To check your data balance, dial *140#
1. Download and install ES File Explorer app here on your device. Don’t move it to SD card. (make sure it is install in your internal storage)
2. Open the app and tap the menu button
3. Now tap on ‘Tools’ and select ‘Root Explorer’ to turn it on.
4. Superuser will ask you to grant privilege or root privileges to the app. Allow it.
5. Now go back to the main screen of the app and select ‘/’ in the top corner of the screen.
6. Go to system -> bin. Find the busybox and su file and delete them. If you can’t find any of them, just skip to the next step.
7. Go back to system folder then open ‘xbin’ folder and delete the busybox and su file there (if you found any).
8. Now go back to the system folder again and open ‘app’ folder and then delete the supeuser.apk file located in the folder. That’s all.
9. Now restart your device and it should be unrooted.
Now that you have been fully unroot, you can continue with your upgrade. ☺☺
The Infinix Hot 2 is one of the most impressive budget devices we’ve seen in Nigeria for the year 2015. Why so? The phone is an Android One device. This simply means that Google partnered with Infinix to make the phone. Hence, users of this device will receive the latest Android updates as they come, directly from Google.
That asides, looking at the spec vs price angle, there are few devices that come close. After going through various complaints from people and threads in Nairaland, I’ve decided to compile the most common issues with the phone and proffer solutions for them.
Before we proceed, Here are things you should know:
The Infinix Hot 2 runs stock Android. This is very different from what you see on the regular Android devices you’ve used or seen before. This phone runs raw Android – just the way founding fathers made it to be – without any extra customization. You should have this at the back of your mind.
You need to set up your Gmail account before using this phone. You can’t do much on this phone if you don’t do that immediately after purchase. Simply login (if you already have an account) or create a new one.
Now back to the common problems and their solutions.
Problem 1: I can’t see a file manger
After signing in with your Gmail account, the first thing you need to do is run to Google Play Store, and download a file manager. Es File Explorer is highly recommended.
Problem 2: I can’t use a custom song as ringtone
When you notice you can’t set a song as ringtone, then next thing is, use your ES File Explorer, navigate to the song you want, and set that as your ringtone.
Problem 3: I can’t find any gallery
The Infinix Hot 2 actually has a gallery app called Google Photos. Though, I’ll admit, the app looks weird and different from what we’re used to. To fix the problem, run along to Google Play Store and download Quick Pic. It is a lightweight and fast gallery app. Highly recommended.
Problem 4: I can’t play videos
If you can’t find a good video player on your phone, again Quick Pic is decent. For a more rounded experience, go ahead to Google Play Store and download MX Player.
Problem 5: The phone doesn’t have HSDPA
So because the phone shows 3G on the network signal bar (instead of H+), you people have concluded the phone doesn’t have HSDPA. If you dig around Setting -> About section, you’ll clearly see where it is shown. The phone has HSDPA. However, if you need to be able to see it reflected as an icon in the status bar, you can still go farther, by rooting, install Xposed Framework and Gravity Box, then set it up to write H+ on the status bar.
Problem 6: My launcher suddenly changed to vertical scrolling.
If you notice that the launcher suddenly changed to vertical scrolling, don’t be afraid. What really happened is that you updated it. The latest update to Google Now launcher changed it from horizontal to vertical scrolling of the app drawer. So if you don’t like it, go to Google Play Store, and download Nova launcher HERE , then customize it as you please.
IMPORTANT NOTICE!!
Most of the problems you experience with this phone is because you’re on a Guest Account. Yes. During initial setup most of us mistakenly put ourselves in guest account. This means the phone sees you as a guest. Hence, it restricts your use of the phone. Please make sure you are not on a guest account, if you’re on it, reset your phone to factory settings.
PLEASE DO NOT ROOT THIS PHONE!! If you do, updating becomes and issue. How to resolve the problem is explained on this article here.

mobile number.
2. MTN
There are many ways out here. One,
dial *123# and follow onscreen guide.
Respond with option 1 and send to
select My tools option. Then select
option 5 in My Tools to demand for My
Number. And snap! Your own mobile
number is displayed on your screen.
One other method is to simply send a
call me back SMS to a nearby MTN
subscriber, as you don't have airtime
credit to call.

You have to flash a custom recovery img on your phone if you wish to extend the Android experience. You can flash the custom recovery with or without using a PC. As a samsung user mostly I use Odin to flash a new recovery but, it is not possible keep a PC everywhere we travels. So sometimes we need an alternate solution.
There are many apps available in the Google Play Store which helps to install a custom recovery without PC but, I prefer Flashify. Flashify is a must have tool for every android root user which, comes with a clean hole UI and bunch of flash and backup options. I am not going to review the app...In this post you will learn a simple steps on how to flash CWM custom recovery image using Flashify.

Install CMW Custom Recovery Without PC
1. Download Flashify - here
2. Download your favorite custom recovery .img file for your device

**If you downloaded the recovery using PC...copy it to your internal or external storage.
3. Open Flashify app... Accept disclaimer and Grant permission on popup
4. In FLASH tab tap on Recovery Image and browse / select the downloaded recovery .img file using flashify explorer.
5. Now the app will popup a confirm Flash recovery? dialog.
6. Finally Tap on Yup! and wait.
That's it....After successful installation it will popup a Flash Complete dialog.....Choose Reboot now if you wish to boot into recovery or Exit app.
Creating nandriod backup
There are many ways to backup an Android phone, but if you were to ask me about the best way for a rooted Android device, without any second thoughts I would suggest the Nandroid backup.
Nandroid backup is not like other backups that create different backup files for distinct settings. It creates a mirror image of the current state of your ROM to an image file that includes everything and when you restore it, every tiny detail (like > call records and widgets) will be restored to your phone.
Note: The device should be rooted and must have a custom recovery installed in order to create a Nandroid backup.
Creating Nandroid Backup
Step 1: Boot into recovery mode and after the ClockworkMod recovery is loaded, open backup and restore from the list of options provided on the main menu.
Step 2: Again select backup from the Nandroid backup sub-menu to start the backup process.
Step 3: The recovery will then calculate the free space available on your device and start the process if sufficient space is available.
The process may take some time depending upon the size of your ROM. After the backup is successfully created, you will be taken back to the CWM home screen.
Restoring Nandroid backup
When you wish to restore the Nandroid backup, just select the restore option from the Nandroid sub-menu in the recovery. If there’s more than one Nandroid backup saved on your device, the phone will prompt you about the multiple image files present, and that you can select one of them to restore.
That’s all, Nandroid backup is one of the most easiest and effective backup mechanisms one can get for a rooted Android device. Always remember to take a Nandroid backup before you consider doing some major changes on your Android.

Firstly all you need is to download the latest version of kingroot from Kingroot official website

After that install the application open after installation and make sure you on your data connection with 3g network, and make sure you have upto 7mb on your preferred data sim.After that wait for kingroot to check your device information weather it as been rooted or not. If your device doesn't have root access yet kingroot with write no root access and at the bottom you will see start root click on start root immediately you press that kingroot wil start counting from 01 upward just chill and let kingroot do the rooting for you, thats all... along the line you can see one warning that will pop up just select install anyway and in most cases you might not encounter such.
